Welcome!I am a PhD candidate in the Wilf Family Department of Politics at New York University studying comparative politics and international political economy. My research interests include foreign aid, development, political behavior, and governance with a regional focus on sub-Saharan Africa. My dissertation uses experimental and quasi-experimental methods to examine the political economy of shifting government revenues in the developing world. I have conducted studies in Sierra Leone, Ghana, Kenya, and Liberia. My work has been supported by Innovations for Poverty Action, the Institute for Humane Studies, NYU Africa House, among others. Prior to academia, I spent four years doing field-based development economics research with the World Bank's Development Impact Evaluation (DIME) unit, Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) and the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL). I hold a Masters in Public Policy with honors from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, an undergraduate degree in finance with honors from the Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, and was a Young India Fellow at Ashoka University. |
